Software Queensland has been built from the ground up by passionate Queensland software companies and leaders wanting to see their industry grow.It has built strong networks, lobbied governments on behalf of Qld SME business and held many forums and education sessions to help strengthen and grow Queensland businesses.
Along the journey, it has become clear that the mission now needs to extend beyond just software companies to all Queensland owned IT businesses.We are the voice and champion of the Queensland-owned industry.As part of this expanded focus, we will soon be changing the name of our organisation to more clearly reflect the wider role across all IT.
We have also seen growth in our regional representation and this is set to continue as we recognise the value of working together and having a common voice.
Our vision is to have every Queensland owned IT company benefit from being part of a focused organisation that is with them every step of the way as they grow and succeed, both locally and internationally.We have a talented team of volunteer IT professionals on our board with extensive experience who are giving their time to work hard on behalf of the industry.
We recognise the important role that multinational IT companies play and will continue to work closely with them and their organisations to ensure that they also fully understand the opportunities available through partnering with the local industry.
